COURSE OVERVIEW

This course will enable healthcare professionls and aesthetic practitioners to be able to deliver Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers to the lower third of the faces of their clients. To achieve this the theoretical knowledge and understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the skin and face will be studied to underpin all practical training facilitated at the Cosmetic Couture clinic and will result in fully accredited CPD certification.

The COURSE COMPONENTS

Theory Components

  • Learn about hyaluronic acid (HA)
  • Anatomy and physiology of the skin and lower face and signs of ageing
  • Troubleshooting HA treatments
  • Pre and post treatment procedures
  • Client consultation protocols (medical history & client consent)
  • Managing expectations and complaints procedure

  • Treatment areas:
  • Pain management protocols
  • Health & hygiene systems
  • Hygiene and sharps disposal and legal aspects
  • Product knowledge

Practical components:

  • Hygiene and sharps disposal and legal aspects
  • Practice of injections using Zanco models (facial injection mannequins)
  • Product knowledge
  • Live demonstrations and live models (approx. 8 per student)

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

 

Nurses, Doctors, Pharmacist, Dental Nurses, Podiatrist, Radiologist’s, Paramedic, Occupational Therapist,Beauty therapist,and  SPMU practitioner with 6 months+, Level 3 Beauty Principles in Aesthetics or NVQ Level 3 Beauty therapy or equivalent

COURSE DURATION & COST

35 hours pre-study with 7 hours guided online learning (done via video link with a tutor) and 3 days practical
