What to expect after Cheek, Jaw and Chin cannula treatments

Contouring is to aesthetics what icing is to cake… everyone wants it.

Creating a great contoured look is something we, at Cosmetic Couture, are known for and as such we thought we would share a few aftercare tips with you should you be thinking of having this treatment done.

It is important to remember that you are injecting into areas in your face that are quite sensitive and as such post treatment care is inevitable and your responsibility, to ensure the best results.

After treatment there may be sight swelling, redness and tenderness in the treated area. Bruising and an itchiness sensation are also a normal result of the product/injection. This inconvenience is temporary and generally resolves in a day or two.

We recommend avoiding touching the area for 24 hours – treat it as you would an open wound.

This means no makeup, sauna or steam rooms visits or sunbeds for 24 hours. Basically, do not expose the face to extreme heat or extreme cold.

If you have previously suffered from facial herpes, there is a risk that the injections could contribute to another eruption of herpes (facial cold sores).

If you are using aspirin or any similar medication, be aware that this may increase the risk of bruising or bleeding at the injection site. If bruising is present arnica herbal remedy cream can be applied 24 hours after the treatment.

Dermal filler is a hyaluronic acid-based product that breaks down within the body and the lasting aspect varies from client to client. Many clients choose to be treated again within 6 months of the original treatment.
