COURSE OVERVIEW

The IQ Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) meets The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 in respect of First Aid at Work. It is aimed at individuals who intend to develop and gain formal recognition of their knowledge, understanding and skills of first aid at work. The course duration is a minimum of 3 days.

 

Through completing the two mandatory units, all learners will cover the essentials of first aid at work. This includes roles and responsibilities, incident assessment and casualty management with referring to the following conditions: unresponsiveness, choking, external bleeding, shock and minor injuries.

THE COURSE COMPONENTS

Theory & Practical Components

  • Learners will cover the administration of first aid to casualties with more severe conditions including burns, scalds, poisoning, anaphylaxis, suspected major illness and injuries affecting: bones, muscles, joints, head, spine, chest and eye(s).

  • Total Qualification Time: 22 hours
  • Ofqual regulated L3 First Aid Qualification.
  • Workbook assessment (Course work assessment)

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Beauty therapist, SPMU practitioner with 6 months+, Level 3 Beauty Principles in Aesthetics or NVQ Level 3 Beauty therapy or equivalent
